Below you can find a summary of activities that were organised by individuals, groups, schools, ... to support Childwellness.



BART AND GRIET LUTS ON WORLDTOUR  (2009-2010)

"On our vacation, we encountered a lot of poverty. Now and then, we tend to forget what luxuries we have in Belgium And the problem is: there’s not much you can do about it. In principle, we are against the giving of money and other things to the innumerable children whom we met, especially those at the tourist sites. This only stimulates them to not attend school and instead to continue as the main provider of the family through begging. But that does not take away the fact that we still would like to do something in the places we pass through. Therefore, we want to collect donations for the good causes we find along our way. The homefront thinks of different assignments to implement during their trip. For every successful assignment they earn a certain amount of sponsorship money for a project of their choice.

These two fellow Belgians had discovered our website on the internet and the concept appealed to them. After a visit to the Vivekananda Residential Tribal School in Kerala, it was decided to donate part of the earned sponsorship money to Childwellness,for which our sincerest thanks ! The Childwellness team wishes them a captivating continuation of their world travels and much success with this extremely original initiative !

GROUP FIDES  (Confides Financial Services)  (2009)

On Saturday June 27th, Group Fides organised their annual garden party in Varsenare. Childwellness was on this occasion chosen as the support project. This meant for every new, signed up client, an amount was deposited into the Childwellness fund. Group Fides in addition deposited a separate financial contribution to the Bharathamatha Nursery and Primary School in Chennai.

Kris Vanhoutte, chairman of Childwellness, explained our projects through a slideshow. In a concise brochure the guests were able to read about our goal positions again. Through the distribution of a deposit form the guests were invited to become (permanent) sponsors.

GITOK  (2008)

Each year this municipal technical school in Kalmthout (Antwerp, Belgium) organizes a fundraiser to support different social projects inside and outside of Belgium. The school wants to make young people aware of the need to show solidarity with the less fortunate people in our society.
By means of an anonymous poll the students could choose from a list of 9 possible projects. With great honor, Childwellness was proud to be selected !
On their last school day before Eastern Holidays, the students walked or cycled a certain distance as a counter-payment for the sponsoring by relatives, friends, and others ...
Thanks to all the students of Gitok and their sponsors for the financial support !
