Kris Vanhoutte , born on 27 February 1971 in Kim Hai (South Korea), was adopted at the age of 5 together with his sister by a Belgian family. He grew up in Zuienkerke (close to Bruges). He studied laws at the Catholic University,Leuven. He is a director at ITA Ltd., a firm dealing in financial services (derivates).
He has been the Chairman of Childwellness since its establishment in December 2005. It is his wish to provide a warm, healthy and loving environment to as many children as possible in their home country.
 



Jemma van der Linden , born in Cochin (Kerala-India), was adopted by a Dutch couple at the age of 8. Jemma is now living in Brecht, in the north of the province of Antwerp.
After her studies in accountancy and administration, she started working as a teacher in several schools. She likes to spend her free time with her husband and 2 daughters and is also dedicated to animals and specifically recreational equitation.
Jemma has always been a very active person, who loves to do all kinds of things. She also gladly wants to support projects abroad. That's why she has become a volunteer for Childwellness. Her interest for India is of course very understandable. In 2008 she visited her birth region for the very first time since her adoption.
 



Nicole Declerck , born on October 4, 1982 in North Carolina (USA), moved to Belgium in January of 2009 in order to spend time with her Belgian family. Nicole has a degree in Communication Studies, a minor in Sociology, and spent a semester abroad in Australia. She has experience in various levels of volunteer work as well as event planning. After making a few new friends with Indian and Eastern Asian roots, she discovered Childwellness and joined their team after learning more about their efficiency and good intentions. She hopes to contribute significantly to fund-raising and special event coordination.
 



Marlène Baeyens , born on February 13, 1954, studied at the Academy of Arts in Gent and Anderlecht. Art and culture are truly in her blood.
Throughout her life, she has always been searching for rewarding experiences. This search has developed even further after a voyage to India together with a group of people from Childwellness: there the passion to participate in this project was born. Ever since, she has strived together with Childwellness to give street and school children a chance for a dignified life and a better future in their own trusted surroundings.
 



Martine De Lie , born on 13 October 1965, grew up in the region of Antwerp, Belgium. After graduating in Biochemistry she started her career as a science teacher. Presently, she is teaching at Gitok, municipal technical secondary school of Kalmthout.
Following her passion for travelling and foreign culture she travelled Asia for a year in 2005. She did volunteer work during her stay in Thailand and India. Her experiences in Asia made her join Childwellness in 2006 and has been an active part of the team ever since.
 



Gertie Flies , born on 2 April 1983 in India, lived her initial two years in an orphanage. She was adopted by a Belgian family and has lived in Belgium since then. She completed her ortho-pedagogical studies from the Karel De Grote Hogeschool, Antwerp in 2006. She is now working in a centre for nursery and family support in Brussels.
The projects supported by Childwellness have a good pedagogical basis that strikes with her own vision.
 




Anshuman Saha , born on 3 April 1982 in Agra (North India), came to Antwerp (Belgium) in 2006 after finishing his Masters in Business Administration. There he worked in a diamond trading company for several years. In the meantime he returned to India to pursue his career. He will however continue to promote and help Childwellness in any way possible.
With Mother Teresa’s quote in mind 'Hands that help are holier than lips that pray' he joined Childwellness in 2008. What he likes about Childwellness is that they help children with their education and according to him that is the most precious gift one can give to anyone as it opens unlimited frontiers for a bright future. Childwellness aims to provide for children what we often take for granted.
 




Rajeev Sharma , born on 28 May 1976 was brought up in Jalandhar (North India). Right from the beginning he had the desire to support mankind, to releive sufferings and pain. That's why he joined the medical profession and became a clinical doctor.
For 7 years Rajeev worked with the medical corps of the indian army, serving his country India. In January 2009 he joined his wife in Newcastle (England) and is currently working as a senior house officer in the department of neurosurgery at Newcastle General Hospital.
For him education and a proper grooming of a child is a prerequisite for a secure future. Childwellness brought him the very best oppurtunity to serve children's present in order to get a better future prospect.
